Autotiles

How do I go about using autotiles?

after loading a map and a tile set

go to the Autotiles tab

double click on any empty square then the AutoTileEditor will open

just match a tile to every 1 of the 16 autotile parts and then press save

use the auto tile to draw just like a normal tile =]

OK I understand it know, but not sure why you have to have 4 tiles connecting instead of just 2.

I guess I am thinking more along the lines of RPG Maker where if you put down two of the same tiles, they connect. The youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cGUIcP6-YY kind of shows what I am talking about. If you go to 1:10 it starts to show the auto tiling process.

Ive Updated the program and it now supports the type of auto tilling you asked for

 

i would appreciate a  comment about it (if you satisfied or not =] )

When I double click to create the autotiles, I get an error:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'VIBlend.WinForms.Controls, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=6feea38fef5ea0cf' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
